IMAX Enhanced is a certification program developed by IMAX Corporation and DTS . The program aims to provide the audience with the best viewing experience, in terms of picture and sound, just like a cinema.
This program consists of two parts, namely IMAX Enhanced devices and IMAX Enhanced content. On device media, you will find it on television. As for content, you can find it on Blu-ray or streaming services with 4K HDR quality.
Similar to the Dolby ecosystem, on Dolby Vision and Atmos devices and content. However, IMAX is different.
The advantages of IMAX Enhanced

Of course everything is done under the guidance of the filmmaker.
- IMAX Signature Sound
The IMAX Enhanced version of the film not only improves picture quality, it also takes advantage of the DTS:X format to bring IMAX Signature Sound into the home. Allows you to hear sound like you were in an IMAX cinema, with deeper bass and more dynamic range.
- Wider content
Movies or movies are generally recorded with a length ratio of 2.39:1, so the IMAX Enhanced version is recorded with an aspect ratio of 1.90:1. This adds a wider image display by up to 26%.
